A half term trip with a difference as Great Ormond Street patients visit Harlow
It may not be the most obvious idea for a school half term treat but patients from London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital dropped in on Harlow based Clinovia, Britain’s most experienced home healthcare provider.
The children and their families were able to take a look at how the medicines that help them in their treatment are put together at Clinovia’s compounding base at Spire Green Centre, Flex Meadow. They also met and put questions to senior Clinovia directors and managers. There were a number of fun activities such as a treasure hunt and a picture scrap book is being put together of the event.
Mark Lawrence, Clinovia’s Business Development Manager for London, said: “We have a very good relationship with Great Ormond Street and thought that in half term week, the children might be interested to see what goes on. We hope that they had a good time – there certainly seemed to be plenty of interest.”
