Alliance Medical appoints UK Managing Director

Alliance Medical, the largest independent provider of MRI, PET and CT scanning in Europe, has appointed Tim Elsigood as Managing Director of its UK business.

Tim Elsigood joins the company from the Independent Healthcare Forum, that represents the majority of independent healthcare providers, where he has been Executive Director.

He began his healthcare career in the NHS, spending more than 15 years in a variety of management positions. He joined Community Hospitals Group in 1993 (now Capio Healthcare) as a Hospital Manager at the FitzwilliamHospital, Peterborough.

He became Director of Operations for the Group in 1996 and Chief Executive of all Capio’s UK business after the takeover in 2001. During his time with Capio, Tim Elsigood was also involved in the implementation of their growth strategy in Europe, particularly in France.

Alan Pilgrim, chief executive of Alliance Medical, said: “Tim brings much experience to Alliance Medical. In his recent role at the IHF, he had considerable dealings with Government.”

Tim Elsigood joins Alliance Medical on 1 February and becomes a member of the company’s Group board.
